"Mama always said that dying is a part of life, but I sure wish it wasn't."
Well my Uncle died yesterday afternoon, and it makes one realise that it is the end of an era. He was 90 years and 2.5 months and had had a good life , which is good. But the last 3 months was not good,being in a nursing home with advanced parkinsons disease. I remember going fishing with my Dad and Bert on many occasions. He was always fun to have along and was one of the "true gentlemen" that aren't very common these days. Well out of 9 children there is only 2 left now. My Dad and his sister. A whole lifespan come and gone. We will all miss him lots.

Hmmm, yes. I remember Bert riding on his bike, but that's about all coz I was pretty young when I last saw him.
